Conveyor Belt Construction

The top cover of the conveyor belt is designed to protect the carcass from conditions like oil, heat, abrasion, etc and the skin coat is compounded for excellent adhesion between plies for protection against ply separation. While Carcass possesses extremely low stretch characteristics of fabric and high trough-ability, bottom cover is excellent in abrasion, flexibility and provides wearing surface against pulleys and idlers.

Moderately abrasive rubber cover can carry fine coal, grain, wood chips, ash, cement etc., while abrasive cover can carry sand, coal, clay, salt etc. Highly abrasive rubber cover possesses the ability to carry limestone, crushed stone, coke etc. and extremely abrasive rubber can carry ores, slag, cullet etc. Thickness of these rubber covers varies accordingly and can be chosen as per the requirement.
